New Leadership in Montana

“I’m excited to teach and have this position–it’s a great opportunity. I also want people to know the availability of careers out there: You don’t have to only swing a hammer your whole life. You can bring that knowledge to others and change their lives.”
Davin Quist is a Montana native and formerly worked at the Anaconda Job Corps, teaching basic carpentry and framing to students as the lead instructor for five years. Quist has completed several educational courses through the International Training Center. This includes the Workforce Education and Development courses offered through Penn State, which trains instructors on how to write their own curriculum for the trades.
“The best part about being a carpenter is the instant gratification. You get to see your work take shape. By the time you head home at the end of the day, you have part of a bridge built, you’ve poured a concrete form.”
Like any good Montanan, Quist likes to spend his time outdoors, either floating, camping, or hunting during his downtime. When he’s not outside or traveling for work, he spends his time with his two lovely daughters and wife.
Note: The Montana Carpenters Training Center is available to Montana and Wyoming residents.
