Pacific Northwest Carpenters Relief Fund (PNCRF) – Relief Request Form

  • 2020 Coronavirus Pandemic: Relief for Unemployed Members

    In order to be eligible for financial assistance in the form of a hardship distribution from the Pacific Northwest Carpenters Relief Fund (PNCRF), you must fully complete and submit this Relief Request Form and supporting materials through this online form. 

    You are eligible for a hardship distribution if you meet the following three requirements:

    1. You were laid off as a result of your employer responding to the COVID-19 pandemic making the economic hardship caused by unemployment due to the Coronavirus Pandemic to be an appropriate target of relief from the PNCRF; and 
    2. At the time of your layoff and at the time you submit this Relief Request Form, you are a member in good standing of a Local Union affiliated with the Pacific Northwest Regional Council of Carpenters; and 
    3. At the time of your layoff, you were a member of a Local Union affiliated with the Pacific Northwest Regional Council of Carpenters for at least 12 consecutive months.

  • Please attach records from your State’s agency responsible for administering unemployment benefits or your employer that document your layoff due to the COVID pandemic and the receipt of unemployment benefits as a result of such layoff. Please make sure this application is completed entirely in order to ensure timely processing.

    • AMOUNT OF HARDSHIP DISTRIBUTION
      Hardship distributions for relief from the 2020 Coronavirus Pandemic come in the form of a check for $350.

      TAXABILITY OF HARDSHIP DISTRIBUTION
      IMPORTANT: Distributions from the PNCRF may be taxable. Accordingly, it is your responsibility to pay any applicable taxes on any distributions received from the PNCRF. It is advised that you consult a tax preparer or an attorney to determine whether you owe taxes on the amount received from the PNCRF. By submitting this Relief Request Form, you understand that you, and not the PNCRF or any of its agents, are responsible for the tax consequences of any distribution you may receive.

    • By inputting your initials, you are certifying that all the information provided on this form is true and accurate; if any of this information changes, you will inform PNCRF immediately.
