Regional Council Leadership

The Pacific Northwest Regional Council of Carpenters is a representational democracy where elected officials from each Local Union vote on Executive Committee members and an Executive Secretary Treasurer who are collectively responsible for the governing of the Regional Council.

Executive Secretary Treasurer Doug Tweedy

The Executive Secretary Treasurer is an elected position which serves four year terms. The PNWRCC Executive Secretary Treasurer is Doug Tweedy (LU 129). He is responsible for the business side of the organization, including all Regional Council staff. The EST is responsible for the day to day operations of Regional Council business. Doug Tweedy was first elected in 2004, and has served ever since.

President Evelyn Shapiro

Sister Shapiro served as VP and stepped down to run for President where she won on May 20, 2017. The President is responsible for presiding over quarterly Council meetings, and monthly Executive Committee meetings. The President appoints all standing committees that work on segments of Council functions.
